Class Description

This course covers how to implement red dot equipped handguns into duty use for law enforcement. It will cover equipment selection, maintenance considerations, pros and cons of a RDS system, drills to build proficiency, and how to diagnose shooting issues specific to RDS equipped handguns.

Class requirements

Students will need to bring the following: RDS Equipped handgun (with optic installed and at least roughly zeroed), optic adjustment tool, eyes, ears, sharpie, paint pen, a minimum of 1,000 rounds (1,500 preferred), 10 rounds of duty ammo, at least 3 dummy rounds, spare battery for optic.
Optional Equipment: shooting bag rest, tripod, micro fiber cloth, cat crap or similar anti-fog lens treatment, VC-3 or Loctite, torque driver and other tools for optic maintenance.
