Instructors: GPSTC- Buck Forte, Josh Benton, Billy Skinner
Buck Forte has 19 years of LE experience. Previously with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, he served as Sergeant in charge of a Patrol shift and was a member of the SRT. In 2017, he began his career at GPSTC with the Firearms/Tacops Division.
Josh Benton previously worked with Union City Police Department and the Brookhaven Police Department. He served in capacities ranging from Patrol, SWAT, Crime Suppression and Training.
Billy Skinner has 26yrs of Law Enforcement experience between the Macon Police Department and Bibb County Sheriff's Office. He has 13yrs experience in SWAT as an explosive breacher and team leader. He was assigned to the department's Training Division at the time of his retirement. Since 2020 he has worked in the Firearms/TacOps Division of GPSTC.
This 8-hour weapons class will encompass time-based firearms challenges that have been developed from actual live engagements. Officers will see and experience first-hand how speed and accuracy matters in winning the fight. The class is built around any officer’s capabilities and can be humbling for even the most advance shooter.
Students should bring rifle, 3 rifle magazines, pistol, 3 pistol magazines, eye protection, ear protection, hat, duty or tactical rig, tactical vest or plate carrier, gloves, 300 rounds rifle ammo, 150 rounds pistol ammo
