The Self-Care/Buddy-Care Firearms Course is based on TCCC/TECC guidelines and instruction. 

The 4-hour morning medical presentation covers both trauma and medical situations in which a responding officer may be presented with throughout their career. 

The student will receive practical instruction and engagement of the needed skills as a precursor to the 4-hour afternoon firearms tasks and drills in which they must show physical proficiency, discipline, and mental strength under duress.

Equipment:

  1. Handgun

  2. Rifle (Optional)

  3. 3 Magazines of each

  4. 500 handgun rounds (Minimum)

  5. 500 Rifle rounds (Minimum)

  6. Tactical gear or issued duty gear

  7. Wet weather gear

  8. Cold weather gear

  9. Eye Protection

  10. Ear Protection

  11. Baseball cap

  12. Ballistic Vest

  13. Ballistic helmet (Only if issued)

  14. Hydration source

  15. Note taking materials

  16. Training or SWAT Uniform

Open to:  Full time sworn Law Enforcement officer- Patrol – SWAT – Jail – Courts – Admin

FREE to GTOA & ATOA Members OR become a GTOA Member for $50.

POST Credit will be given.
