Instructor: Anthony Winegar
This course uses a combination of classroom and field activities to emphasize the use and importance of visual tracking in law enforcement and the necessary tactical skills to enhance its effectiveness. Whether the student is assigned to a tactical team or a patrol function, this course emphasizes the “come as you are” approach to locating a suspect’s track while also demonstrating the use of tactics for officer safety during the following of the track. This course is not designed to change a department protocol or imply that visual tracking is THE way. It IS designed to provide students with another method of reading and understanding their surroundings while gathering the necessary resources needed for a successful outcome.
