Care Under Fire - Pistol Course 

We don’t wake up in the morning with the advantage of hindsight to determine that we will encounter a lethal confrontation. If we did, we could plan for success. If shot or stabbed, know the basics of Hemorrhage Control…why wait until its staring you in the face! REHEARSE = TRAIN!

Course Description: This course is advanced fast paced. It will start with basic care under fire focusing on hemorrhage control while staying in the fight. Shooters will learn basic to advance techniques of hemorrhage control and fighting while wounded pistol techniques. It will start with practical application of tourniquets, pressure bandages, and direct pressure. Once shooters have a firm grasp of medical hemorrhage control, the course will advance to live fire drills not limited to but include; Strong / Support arm shooting, fighting while wounded, target engagement techniques, move shoot move, Use of cover barrier shooting, shooting while seated, and much more.

•      Tourniquet application techniques

•         Hemorrhage control techniques  

•         Fighting while wounded

•         Patient Movement Techniques 

•         Officer Recovery under fire techniques                                  

•         Critical Decision Making

•         Movement During Engagement Drills

•         Moving & Stationary Target Drills

•         Out of Standard Position Shooting

•         Proper Use of Cover Techniques

Course Length: 8 Hours

Equipment List:

•         Pistol w/ minimum 3 mags 2 mag pouches, and 300 rounds pistol •         Eye / Ear Protection

•         Kydex or Injection molded Holster, OWB preferred, IWB is also acceptable- NO LEATHER OR NYLON HOLSTERS •         Bring what YOU need to shoot and take care of your body during an active and fast paced day on a range •         Optional: IFAK kit to include Tourniquet & pressure bandage (IFAK & Tourniquet will be provided)
