Class Description
Applied Carbine teaches, develops, and hones the necessary skills to keep your carbine running, as well as continues to build and refine the marksmanship fundamentals necessary for accurate and repeatable on-demand performance.
Curriculum
Carbine setup (stock position, optics/mounts, slings, lights, IR devices, switches, fore grip placement, etc…)
Sling setup, utilization & manipulation
Isolation of marksmanship fundamentals
Carbine manipulations
Carry & ready positions
Understanding mechanical offset
Reloading
Assessing & clearing common carbine malfunctions
Dominant & support side shooting
Required
Common sense, a good attitude & an open mind
Carbine & optic (optic mounted with acceptable zero)
350 rounds of range ammunition specific to your carbine (minimum & NO STEEL CORE)
3 magazines (minimum w/10-30 round capacity depending on your state’s laws)
Sling, sling mount(s) & mounting accessories
Duty/gun belt or chest rig
1 rifle magazine pouch (minimum)
Eye Protection (clear lenses)
Hearing Protection (electronic recommended)
Basic carbine maintenance & cleaning kit
IFAK (individual first aid kit)
Appropriate clothing & footwear
